At Gotham Gymnastics, our mission is to elevate the sport by prioritizing the athlete. CLASSES Gotham Gymnastics offers six different types of classes on a year-round basis for athletes of all ages, genders and levels. Our highly skilled coaches provide a fun, focused and safe environment where athletes are encouraged to keep progressing - reaching milestones at their own pace. LEARN MORE SCHOOL'S OUT School’s Out sessions are offered year round for kids ages three and up whenever school is not in session. Kids of all genders will have a blast learning gymnastics, bouncing on our trampolines, jumping in our foam pit, and climbing our walls (better ours than yours!). FAQ My child has never done gymnastics before. Can I have them try it out before we join? We do not have trial classes. However, you have 30 days from your start date to provide written notice to the front desk at info@gothamgymnastics.com that you would like to drop the class. If you provide notice within 30 days, we will provide a refund for the unused classes, minus a credit card processing fee (currently 3.75%). After 30 days, if you drop the class for any reason you will receive a credit on your Gotham Gymnastics account for use at Gotham Gymnastics in the future. All credits are good for one year. Which location can I enroll in? We have two gyms! Pay close attention to the location when you enroll - G315 and G316 - especially if you are trying to enroll your children in the same gym. G315 class times are always on the :15 or :45 (e.g.; 3:15pm, 4:45pm) G316 class times are always on the :00 or :30 (e.g.; 4:30pm, 5:00pm) What if we sign up late for a program? Any kids who enroll after the start date of the season will receive pro-rated tuition. If I need to cancel class, can I reschedule? Yes! Makeups are allowed on a first come, first served basis and are subject to availability. Makeups cannot be scheduled during the last week of the session, so make sure you reschedule as soon as possible. Makeups cannot be used as a substitute for your regular class. Do you offer sibling discounts? Yes! If you enroll siblings you will receive a 10% discount off of the lowest tuition. What do I do if my registration is declined? If your registration payment is declined, you will receive a pending drop email and will have 48 hours to make your payment and secure your spot. Verify your billing information is up to date in your Customer Portal. Do you have different training programs depending on my child's age? All classes are customized by age and level to fit the needs and skills of each child and/or group. Check out our CLASSES page to see how we curate classes for each age group. Is Gotham Gymnastics open for the holidays? Gotham Gymnastics will be closed for all classes on the following holidays: Labor Day Thanksgiving Holiday Break: Wednesday - Friday only (We are open Saturday & Sunday for all programs). Winter Holiday: 12/23 - 1/1* Memorial Day Weekend: Saturday - Monday (Classes resume on Tuesday) *Team practice and School's Out Sessions may be available during this time. Check our website or contact the front desk at info@gothamgymnastics.com for more info. What kind of shoes and clothing does my child need to wear? No shoes or socks, just a formfitting athletic outfit. We recommend leotards and shorts. For your convenience, Gotham Gymnastics sells leotards in a range of kid and adult sizes, which you can pick up at our pro shop. How does the waitlist work for classes? If you are unable to register for your desired class, you can add your name to the waitlist. You will have to create an account or contact the front desk at info@gothamgymnastics.com for assistance if you have not taken classes at Gotham before. If a spot opens up in your desired class, we will contact you – at which point you will have 24 hours to let us know if you would like to accept the spot. (After 24 hours the class will be offered to the next person on the waitlist). If you accept, you will be registered for the class and your account will be charged. What are the cancellation/refund policies for children’s classes? Meet Our Team CO-FOUNDERS Daniel Miranda Co-Founder / CEO / Head Coach Ana Nunes Co-Founder / Team Coordinator Daniel and Ana have more than 50 years of combined experience coaching athletes in the US and internationally, including USAG Developmental State champions, Regional and National champions, and Tops/Hopes Athletes. Daniel holds a BA PE and Sports Science from Estacio de Sa, Brazil. Ana holds a BA and Licensed Teacher degree in PE and Sports Science from Federal University of Mines Gerais, Brazil. Both are also accomplished athletes in their own right. Daniel was an international martial artist, while Ana is a former gymnast who represented Team Brazil in Germany (1995), Sweden (1999) and was ranked the number one Brazilian athlete in 1998. As parents, coaches and athletes themselves, Daniel and Ana understand the value of putting the well-being of the gymnast first. They have used their combined talents and business acumen to bring that focus to training programs at Gotham Gymnastics. Walking to 3 years old This 45-minute class gives you and your toddler a truly unique and amazing experience! You accompany your tot throughout the lesson under the instruction of one of our experienced coaches. Toddlers of all genders will learn essential motor skills including hanging on the bar, walking and rolling down incline mats, and climbing through obstacle courses. The coach will also engage your child with games involving equipment such as hula hoops, parachutes and balls. GOTHAM KIDS REGISTER + SCHEDULE 3-5 years old This 50-minute class is a fun and engaging way for children of all genders to learn the core foundational skills of gymnastics. Your child will be led by one of our experienced coaches through various stations, including the trampoline, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Skills they will learn include swinging on the bars, balancing on the beam, and performing basic routines upside down. They will also learn the building blocks of gymnastics, including handstands, cartwheels and dance. Games and songs will be added to the mix to give your child a truly memorable experience. Children will gain self-confidence, courage and the skill progression necessary to excel in the sport of gymnastics – all while having a great time. GOTHAM GIRLS - BEGINNER REGISTER + SCHEDULE 5+ years old This 55-minute class for girls introduces the basics of all four women’s Olympic events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Class begins with a warmup that combines strength, cardio and flexibility training. After warming up, students follow a structured lesson based on our proprietary methodology of skill progressions – all of which are designed to instill self-confidence, courage and a better understanding of the fundamentals of gymnastics. GOTHAM GIRLS - INTERMEDIATE I & II SCHEDULE 6+ years old (by evaluation only) Please contact the front desk to register. These 55 and 90-minute intermediate classes are for girls with previous gymnastics experience. Prior to registration, an evaluation must be scheduled with one of our coaches to ensure that the student has sufficient bar strength and mastery of basic skills, including a well executed cartwheel, front limber, backward roll, and backbend kickover. This class will incorporate all four women’s Olympic events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor. Students will be presented with new challenges and opportunities to build their self-confidence and understanding of the sport. GOTHAM GIRLS - ADVANCED SCHEDULE 8+ years old (by evaluation only) Please contact the front desk to register. Prior to registration, an evaluation must be scheduled with one of our coaches to ensure that the student demonstrates sufficient mastery of basic gymnastics skills. This class is designed to develop gymnastics skills beyond the beginner’s level while presenting students with new challenges and experiences to build their self-confidence and understanding of the sport. GOTHAM CHALLENGERS REGISTER + SCHEDULE 5+ years old This 55-minute training session for kids of all genders incorporates the fundamentals of gymnastics and parkour to develop strength, balance, coordination, and self-confidence. In addition to learning different types of safety rolls, vaults and basic tumbling, students will hone their skills on a set of adjustable obstacle courses that increase in difficulty as the athlete progresses. GOTHAM ACRO SCHEDULE 7+ years old (by evaluation only) TUMBLING II: This 55-minute class is for athletes of all genders with previous acrobatic and tumbling experience. Prior to registration, an evaluation must be scheduled with one of our coaches to ensure that the student can sufficiently perform a well executed cartwheel, front limber, backbend kickover, and back handspring. This is the perfect class for anyone who wants to spend extra time improving their acrobatic skills and can’t get enough of flipping! Walking to 3 years old This 45-minute class gives you and your toddler a truly unique and amazing experience! You accompany your tot throughout the lesson under the instruction of one of our experienced coaches. Toddlers of all genders will learn essential motor skills including hanging on the bar, walking and rolling down incline mats, and climbing through obstacle courses. The coach will also engage your child with games involving equipment such as hula hoops, parachutes and balls. GOTHAM KIDS REGISTER + SCHEDULE 3-5 years old This 50-minute class is a fun and engaging way for children of all genders to learn the core foundational skills of gymnastics. Your child will be led by one of our experienced coaches through various stations, including the trampoline, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Skills they will learn include swinging on the bars, balancing on the beam, and performing basic routines upside down. They will also learn the building blocks of gymnastics, including handstands, cartwheels and dance. Games and songs will be added to the mix to give your child a truly memorable experience. Children will gain self-confidence, courage and the skill progression necessary to excel in the sport of gymnastics – all while having a great time. GOTHAM GIRLS - BEGINNER REGISTER + SCHEDULE 5+ years old This 55-minute class for girls introduces the basics of all four women’s Olympic events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Class begins with a warmup that combines strength, cardio and flexibility training. After warming up, students follow a structured lesson based on our proprietary methodology of skill progressions – all of which are designed to instill self-confidence, courage and a better understanding of the fundamentals of gymnastics. GOTHAM GIRLS - INTERMEDIATE I & II SCHEDULE 6+ years old (by evaluation only) Please contact the front desk to register. These 55 and 90-minute intermediate classes are for girls with previous gymnastics experience. Prior to registration, an evaluation must be scheduled with one of our coaches to ensure that the student has sufficient bar strength and mastery of basic skills, including a well executed cartwheel, front limber, backward roll, and backbend kickover. This class will incorporate all four women’s Olympic events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor. Students will be presented with new challenges and opportunities to build their self-confidence and understanding of the sport. GOTHAM GIRLS - ADVANCED SCHEDULE 8+ years old (by evaluation only) Please contact the front desk to register. This 2-hour class is for girls who have shown proficiency of the intermediate skills and are ready for the next level. The class will teach advanced skills within all four women’s Olympic events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Difficulty will be increased according to our proprietary methodology of skill progressions, and students will master each one through the development of resilience, self-confidence and determination. GOTHAM BOYS - BEGINNER REGISTER + SCHEDULE 5+ years old This 55-minute class for boys emphasizes strength training and flexibility while introducing the basics of all six men’s Olympic events: floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar. Students will gain essential muscle strength, knowledge and self-confidence that will translate into practical life skills. GOTHAM BOYS - INTERMEDIATE SCHEDULE 6+ years old (by evaluation only) Please contact the front desk to register. This 90-minute intermediate class is for boys with previous gymnastics experience. Prior to registration, an evaluation must be scheduled with one of our coaches to ensure that the student demonstrates sufficient mastery of basic gymnastics skills. This class is designed to develop gymnastics skills beyond the beginner’s level while presenting students with new challenges and experiences to build their self-confidence and understanding of the sport. GOTHAM CHALLENGERS REGISTER + SCHEDULE 5+ years old This 55-minute training session for kids of all genders incorporates the fundamentals of gymnastics and parkour to develop strength, balance, coordination, and self-confidence. In addition to learning different types of safety rolls, vaults and basic tumbling, students will hone their skills on a set of adjustable obstacle courses that increase in difficulty as the athlete progresses. GOTHAM ACRO SCHEDULE 7+ years old (by evaluation only) TUMBLING II: This 55-minute class is for athletes of all genders with previous acrobatic and tumbling experience. Prior to registration, an evaluation must be scheduled with one of our coaches to ensure that the student can sufficiently perform a well executed cartwheel, front limber, backbend kickover, and back handspring. This is the perfect class for anyone who wants to spend extra time improving their acrobatic skills and can’t get enough of flipping! Students will have multiple stations and exercises that focus on different areas of strength and various approaches to flexibility. Coaches will also incorporate fun challenges as well! INTERMEDIATE BARS STAY TUNED Stay Tuned For Upcoming Dates (Ages 6+ / All Genders) Prerequisite Skills: Pullover Once you’ve got yo pullover, a world of possibilities opens up on bars. If you’re looking for a preview of what bar skills you’ll be working on in our Intermediate classes, want to try a new approach, or just want to get some extra reps in, this clinic is for you. Students will have multiple stations that focus on isolated elements of each skill and stations that focus on building strength. This clinic will focus on developing the following bar skills: Casts, Back Hip Circles, and Dismounts such as Undershoots and Sole Circles.
