Part-Time Position
Hourly Rate: $20 - $25
Responsibilities Include:

• Creating a welcoming environment for visitors and customers

• Carefully planning each class for maximum success, results and safety

• Following the Gotham Gymnastics curriculum

• Completing all online safety and instructional courses required by Gotham Gymnastics and the USAG 

• Attending staff trainings (so you can grow with us!)

• Informing customers and their families about Gotham's programs, and knowing where to direct them for specific answers

• Handling any and all incidents that occur calmly, resourcefully and expediently 

• Being curious and open to learning new things

• Being a team player

• Being proactive

• Being reliable and planning ahead (i.e., securing coverage if you need to miss a shift or arrive late) 

• Being energetic!

• Supporting and participating in events like competitions, Gotham Games, parents' nights, etc.

Required Skills:

Strong customer engagement and communication skills, experience working with kids of all ages, gymnastics instruction

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Gymnastics Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coaching athletes of various ages and skill levels, for compulsory and optional levels. The coach will create a positive and supportive environment, fostering a love for gymnastics while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Coach Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow an established training program that aligns with the athletes’ skill levels and goals.

• Teach proper techniques for all gymnastics apparatus, with a focus on bars and vault.

• Motivate, encourage, and inspire athletes in a positive and safe learning environment.

• Supervise athletes during warm-up, practice and travel to competitions as needed.

• Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

 

Required Skills:​

• Previous experience as a competitive gymnastics coach.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., USAG Professional Membership).

• Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, rules, and regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to motivate and inspire athletes.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team.

• Ability to lift and assist athletes during training.

• Capability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.​

• Sharing your knowledge of Gotham Gymnastics and our programs with customers in a clear and friendly way.

• Answering phones and emails promptly and accurately 

• Processing incoming registrations for all Gotham programs in a timely manner

• Attending staff trainings and monthly meetings (so you can grow with us!)

• Using all company tech platforms (Slack, Google Suite, Dropbox, etc.) proficiently and effectively

• Being curious and open to learning new things

• Being a team player

• Being proactive

• Working closely with kids of all ages

• Going above and beyond your immediate job responsibilities to assist your Gotham Gymnastics teammates (since we're all part of the same team!)
